Looking to add a touch of elegance to your farm house style home?

Here are five easy decor tips you can incorporate elegant decor items that you can add to your farm house style for your home.

Tip # 1.   Pillows

Mix and match pillows with sumptuous fabrics like rough linens, or soft, sturdy fabrics that combine the texture of linen with the luster of chenille. Adding these types of fabrics into your space will add that casual yet elegant lived in feel.

Tip # 2.   Rugs.

Nothing says comfort more than a comfy rugs with natural fibers. There are 6 weave type you can choose from to personalize your space like braided, flat-weave, hand-hooked, hand-knotted, hand-tufted, and machine made. In the image below, I chose a eco natural fiber rug hand woven 100% jute. I think it just delivers that raw elegant feel yet easy to maintain.

Tip #3.  Wallpaper.

Today's wallpaper is not like your grandma's wallpaper from decades ago.  Today's wallpapers are made and inspired by the old ways and infused with today's technology to bring breathtaking and fashionably stylish wall-coverings. With so many patterns and styles to choose from, you can have a elegant farm house look, easy clean up that you'll love to live in.

Tip #4.  Lighting.

I believe that lighting is the jewelry of any room. You can bring in that elegant farm house look combing all these elements with vintage chandelier, lamps and candles that have character.  The trick is knowing when too much farm house is too much farm house.

Tip #5.  Furniture.

And lastly, furniture.  Preferably, for the farm house look,  I like to use natural tone woods that show their grains and rustic quality in them.  But, I like to change it up a bit with other woods that compliment for contrast and interest.

There you have it.  5 tips to bring that farm house look into your living room space with elegant and style.
